Un concours de posters est organisé pour tous les doctorants issus des écoles doctorales MATISSE (Mathématiques, Informatique, Signal, Électronique et Télécommunications) et SDLM (Sciences de la Matière), les doctorants du groupe INSA et de l'UEB. L'occasion est donnée aux doctorants de présenter leurs travaux de recherche tout en favorisant les échanges et d'éventuelles collaborations.

Ce concours consiste à présenter ses travaux liés au thème de la Journée Scientifique Jeunes Chercheurs MMS - Mesure, Modélisation et Simulation, sous deux formes :

  • Un poster qui sera intégré à une exposition collective
  • Une présentation "éclair" orale (une présentation de 2 diapositives)

Trois prix seront décernés le 21 juin 2012 par un jury composé de chercheurs et de doctorants de l’INSA de Rennes, soit un financement pour effectuer une activité en lien avec la formation à la recherche à hauteur de 800, 600 et 400 €.

Les participants seront jugés sur le caractère scientifique et didactique du projet, sur la qualité visuelle du poster ainsi que sur la qualité de la présentation orale.


Présentations "Éclair"

Pour donner plus d'impact à votre poster, vous pouvez le promouvoir lors des présentations "éclair" prévues en séance plénière. Il s'agit de présentations rapides : deux diapositives sans animation, sans vidéo, d'une minute chronométrée chacune. Au bout de deux minutes, votre temps de parole est donc épuisé. Place à la présentation suivante ! Il faut donc être percutant pour donner envie au public et au jury de venir voir votre poster. Peu courantes dans certaines disciplines, ces présentations sont reconnues dans d'autres comme un moment fort de la journée.

Règlement du concours

  1. Le concours est ouvert à tous les doctorants des écoles doctorales MATISSE, SDLM ainsi qu'aux doctorants du groupe INSA et de l'UEB.
  2. Les travaux présentés doivent être en accord avec le thème « Mesure, Modélisation, Simulation ».
  3. Pour concourir, chaque participant doit envoyer un poster, un abstract et un diaporama de deux diapositives avant le 25 mai 2012 au plus tard et participer à une présentation orale de deux minutes maximum.
  4. Le poster doit être réalisé en format A0, Portrait, selon le modèle en ligne. Il peut être réalisé en français ou en anglais. Tous les posters créés pour l’évènement seront exposés lors de la Journée Scientifique Jeunes Chercheurs MMS. L'impression et l'installation des posters est à la charge du comité d'organisation. Leur financement reste à la charge des laboratoires représentés.
  5. L’abstract doit résumer le projet du participant sous la forme d’une page dactylographiée A4, au maximum. Au-delà de cette longueur, l’abstract ne pourra être accepté.
  6. La présentation orale doit durer au maximum deux minutes. Au-delà de cette durée, le participant pourra être pénalisé. Un diaporama composé de deux diapositives maximum accompagnera la prestation orale du candidat.
  7. Un jury se réunira le 21 juin 2012 pour participer à l’exposition et à la présentation orale des participants et désigner les trois lauréats.

Trois prix à hauteur de 800, 600 et 400 € seront décernés sous la forme d’un financement à faire valoir sur une activité en lien avec la formation à la recherche. Sont prises en compte les activités suivantes : déplacement ou inscription à un colloque, inscription à une société savante, etc.

 




A poster contest is organized for all PHD students from the doctoral schools MATISSE (Mathematics, Informatics, Signal, Electronics and Telecommunications), SDLM, for the students of the group INSA and for PHD students of the scientific partners of the INSA.  All PHD students are allowed to present their research as well as to promote exchanges and possible collaborations.

This contest will consist of presenting research related to the theme of Young Researchers Scientific Day MMS - Measurement, Modeling and Simulation, in two forms:

  • A poster included in an exhibition
  • A "flash" oral presentation (2-slide presentation)

Three prizes will be awarded on 21 June 2012 by a judging panel  composed of researchers and PHD students from the INSA of Rennes. This money must be used to realise something related to the research training, to the amounts of 800, 600 and 400€.

Participants will be judged on the scientific and educational project, on the visual quality of the poster and on the quality of their oral presentation.


"FLASH" PRESENTATIONS

To give more impact to your poster, you can promote it via"flash" presentations provided in the plenary. These presentations will be very short: two slides without animation and video and exactly 1 minute per slide. After two minutes, your time is up. Place to the next presentation! It must be powerful to encourage the public and the jury to come and see your poster. Uncommon in some disciplines, these presentations are recognized in others as a highlight of the day.

All PHD students who take part in the contest will be credited with four hours of doctoral training.

Contest Rules

  1. The contest is opened to all PHD students from the doctoral schools MATISSE (Mathematics, Information technologies, Signal, Electronics and Telecommunications) and SDLM (Material sciences), to the students of group INSA and to all PHP students of the scientific partners of INSA.
  2. The work presented must deal with the theme "Measure, Modelling, Simulation".
  3. To compete, each participant must send a poster, an abstract and a slideshow with two slides before May 25, 2012 and participate in an oral presentation of two minutes.
  4. The poster should be made of AO, Portrait, by model online. It can be prepared in French or English. All posters created for the event will be on display at the Young Researchers Scientific Day. The organizing committee will support printing and posters set up. Their funding remains the responsibility of the represented laboratories.
  5. The abstract should summarize the project participant in the form of a typed A4 page, maximum. Beyond this length, the abstract will not be accepted.
  6.  The oral presentation should last up to two minutes. Beyond this period, the participant may be penalized. A slideshow with two slides maximum has to go with the candidate's oral presentation.
  7. A jury will select the winners at the end of the day.
Three prizes will be awarded to the amounts of  800, 600, 400 €. This money must to be used to realise something related to the research training, like removal or registering for a seminar, register for a learned society. This scientific day is supported by two doctorals schools MATISSE and SDLM.

SEND IN
  1. The filing of your posters, abstract and "Flash" presentation is possible on "scientific deposits" in your  "connected" space. A tutorial is given to submit your documents.
     2.  Some recommendations:
  • Use the templates available to you in the "Poster Competition"
  • Name each file according to the nomenclature:
               "Resume_NameFirstname"
               "Poster_NameFirstname"
               "Flash_NameFirstname"
  • Make independent bid for each deposit
  • All posters will be made in the printing of the INSA. The invoice will be sent to each laboratory with respect to doctoral students, and service research for doctoral students from other establishment.
